Last week we popped into one of our favorite local restaurants for a quick bite. It felt dangerously good, like we were breaking the rules just by sitting inside. The place was packed with happy diners and even happier hospitality staff. Things are beginning to feel like normal and everyone is out to enjoy it. It’s nice to see patrons flocking back to new restaurants and trusty favorites alike as the industry rebounds.
Being in the food industry ourselves, we know what a win this is for restaurants everywhere. Things haven’t been so easy over the last 16 months. If you’ve been keeping up with us, you might know that we jumped in to support chefs and restaurants across the country. We donated to restaurants throughout Napa and Sonoma County, San Francisco, the Bay Area, and even as far as New York City! Many restaurants used the downtime to reinvent themselves and we wanted to help by supplying higher-quality ingredients for their kitchens!
We teamed up with chef Thomas Keller and donated hundreds of grapeseed oil bottles to his Yountville restaurant community and the Yountville Veterans Home. We also got creative and picked up the leftover stock of empty wine bottles from wineries all over the valley and filled them with our restaurant-grade grapeseed. We were really impressed with all the chefs out there too. Chef Thomas Keller started the Feed It Forward Restaurant Relief Fund that supported hospitality professionals who lost their jobs. He also organized the food boxes that we donated to supporting all of Yountville. Napa’s own Compline, Grace’s Table and C Casa cooked for First responders using our donated oil.
Today, creating the highest quality product remains a top priority for Salute Santé. The world’s best chefs such as Chef Thomas Keller of The French Laundry, Iron Chef Morimoto of Morimoto Restaurant, Iron Chef Ron Siegel of MadCap and Chef Guillermo Tellez of Flora Farms continue to choose the best and they choose Salute Santé!

The excellent emulsification properties make it ideal for whipping mayonnaise and creamy dressings that will not separate when chilled.
